We chose our itinerary based on three things, firstly countries we wanted to visit, secondly trying to avoid countries we've already been too and finally to fly as little as possible to get around.

Inevitably in the weeks and months since we hatched our plans a slew of other nations has begun to appeal (Russia, Oman, Iran and Norway to name a few) but the above should be a largely reliable list for this trip.

We each chose two 'key destinations' (for Céline, Antarctica and Bolivia, Alex's are The Philippines and Namibia) then structured the rest from there.

Very little is booked in advance and plans are subject to change on the fly; if we like it somewhere we may extend and if somewhere nearby but not above becomes easy or cheap to access we may well go there. Flexibility is the idea.

We understand that working full time and flexibility don't necessarily make the best bedfellows though, so if you would like to join us and get it planned, get in touch and we can firm something up. We'd love for any of you to join us if your upcoming holiday schedules allow.
